Robert Campbell
Born in Race Course, Clarendon, Robert Campbell faced significant challenges from a young age. After his mother’s passing, he left school at 14 and found work in furniture making. His artistic path took a turn when he joined the Mighty Gully Youth Project in Old Harbour, St Catherine, where he began to explore wood sculpting.
While working as a wood joiner at Wassi Art, Campbell became captivated by the ceramics section, igniting a newfound passion that would redefine his creative journey. Shifting his focus from woodcarving to ceramics, he evolved into a celebrated ceramic artist, blending resilience, creativity, and cultural heritage in every piece.
