Independence Celebrations for Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago

You are invited to celebrate with the two Caribbean nations, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, independence gained from Great Britain in 1962. The Independence Day for Jamaica is 6 August while for Trinidad and Tobago it is 31 August.

 

The theme for the afternoon is ‘Our Multicultural Heritage’.

Jamaica1 It will also be an opportunity to celebrate the results of the Netball World Cup hosted in Sydney from 7 to 16 August 2015. Of the 16 competing nations the placings were: Jamaica 4th; Trinidad and Tobago 9th. See below for photos of Jamaica in action and the winning team Australia.
